How To Take The Next Step

Tuesday, October 13, 2015 - 9:45am

Is your son completing a primary treatment or wilderness program? If so, you have probably been presented with aftercare/continuing care options. This may come as a surprise, but most parents are aware that ‘more’ is necessary.

Treks and Recovery

Wednesday, October 7, 2015 - 10:15am

Is Gray Wolf Ranch a wilderness program? No, but we have a significant wilderness component that is vital to our success in helping young men lay a foundation for recovery and ultimately, for life.

BROTHERHOOD WAS WHAT I NEEDED - DYLAN F. STORY

Thursday, August 6, 2015 - 10:30am

I came to Gray Wolf Ranch after relapsing in a sober living environment. At that time I really wanted to get sober and was sick of living life the way I had been.

PLAYFULNESS IS THE THERAPY

Thursday, July 9, 2015 - 12:30pm

“It’s a time when grown men act like boys and young men can mature up.” That’s how Clinical Supervisor Kris Kampf describes the Gray Wolf Ranch father/son treks.

IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK!

Thursday, July 2, 2015 - 10:30am

Dear Families and Alumni,

Gray Wolf Ranch is committed to doing one thing: helping young men access recovery. Our goal is not simply abstinence; we believe our residents should thrive in recovery.

Trek Prep Never Stops

Monday, May 11, 2015 - 9:00pm
“Gray Wolf residents go out on trek about every six to eight weeks.” That sounds simple enough: a bunch of guys out in the woods or on the water. The reality, however, is much different. Each trek is the culmination of thousands of detailed decisions and actions that take days – sometimes even months - to work out. Campsites need to be reserved; park permits applied for and received; kayaks need to be inspected; are there any new park regulations? Do we have the right number of hiking boots in size 11?

Academic Success at Gray Wolf Ranch

Sunday, May 10, 2015 - 5:15pm
Each morning as I open up the Educational Database to update the progress of our current students, I am reminded of the number of Gray Wolf residents in early recovery who made significant academic achievements during their stay at Gray Wolf Ranch. In the supportive environment of our Gray Wolf Ranch Learning Center, residents discover that here they can find success in academic pursuits. Our mantra is “Everyone succeeds.”

Saturday, May 9, 2015 - 2:30pm

Not just the “hey”, “hi”, “how are ya?” kind of phone call, but really spoke to my father. That is something that happens weekly. I live with my girlfriend, whom I love deeply. I just graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington while holding down a full-time job. I have a support group of men in my life that offer me guidance whenever I need it. It is these things, and countless others, for which I am deeply grateful.

Alumni Testimonial

Monday, March 30, 2015 - 12:00pm
In late March of 2006 I was faced with the stark realization that I had no control over my drinking and drug use. This was not new information, but the evidence of my powerlessness was mounting and had become impossible to ignore. I had barely managed to get through High School, and had been forced to withdraw from college after one semester for failing all of my classes. I was unable to manage even the smallest level of responsibility or autonomy. …. I tried fervently to stay one step ahead of the landslide of lies, but knew the crash was inevitable…
