Gray Wolf Ranch is a unique kind of residential and extended care recovery program—one that combines twelve-step-based clinical approaches, outdoor activities, and community living to help young men aged 14-25 learn to live sober lives.

The treatment we offer is sophisticated but the setting is natural: A 15-acre campus nestled among tall trees and native plants, fifty miles northwest of Seattle on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula.

A typical stay at Gray Wolf Ranch is five months. While here, residents attend regular individual and group therapy, where they learn skills and strategies for a sober lifestyle. They practice those skills daily through school, work, or community service in the nearby town of Port Townsend.

Residents also take part in at least two of Gray Wolf’s signature wilderness treks: five to ten days of outdoor adventure with a small group, led by experienced counselors. The treks are an opportunity for residents to put their sober living skills to work in new surroundings while gaining a sense of accomplishment and forging deep bonds with their peers.

Every day is a fresh start.

Every day at Gray Wolf, from orientation right through graduation, young men learn and practice the skills they need to live sober. The twelve step principles are integrated into every aspect of daily life, and reinforced with individual and group counseling.

Each resident develops his own daily schedule, with the help of our staff, based on his interests and needs, but the basic schedule goes like this:
